I am an Observer. A REaDer. I love a good story.
I am a professional, independent writer and essayist.
My niche and passion is writing about:
• nature-driven design + sustainability initiatives
• all-natural, hand-crafted + eco-friendly lifestyles and product
• disability inclusion
• profiling people making a difference in the world
As a parent disability advocate, my essays focus on growing disability communities, the possibilities of disability and acceptance of neurodiversity. I like to illustrate the power of unexpected connections and knowing you can succeed no matter what your obstacle.
On my free time I’m digging in my garden, booting up to hike in the woods and slip away into nature, making any excuse to go for a walk or slow run, or reading. I am always reading: I have stacks of books on my bedside table. I’m obsessed with short stories and essays.
I am mom to two amazing young men: a twenty-one-year old who has taught me to live in the moment and embrace difference, and my thirty-three-year-old who anchored my life years ago (and who is now rocking it as a software engineer in CT). I live in Southeastern, Pa with my husband (who is an amazing cook and adventurer), and youngest son.
I believe in simple, all-natural + hand-crafted, underscoring quality goods created by big thinkers driving change and dedicated to giving back. I am committed to supporting organizations that make our world a better place.
Conscious consumerism is a mindful approach to spending that can make a difference in someone else’s life. Your support, like it or not, comes by way of how you give out your hard-earned money, so why not make it count?
Have fun. Respect the planet.
